Diourbel Region... here I come!

I found out my site today and I'm SO EXCITED. I'll be the second volunteer in this city and the current volunteer left me a ton of great work to continue as well as a whole bunch of opportunities for new projects. She was doing work with artisans and a tailor (I plan on having a TON of awesome clothes made as soon as I get there), both projects I plan on continuing. Also, because it's a large-ish city (25000) there will be schools for me to do some GAD (gender and development) work which is how I really want to focus my secondary projects. I'm very excited to see my site Saturday and I, now more than ever, can't wait to get started. Also, the girl there before me had a ton of people come visit (it's close to Thies and thus Dakar) so for those of you interested, start planning your trip! Be looking for pictures as soon as I get there. Now time for a girls night out in Thies (site celebration). Oh also, I have a few friends close to me and one of my friends is doing Eco-T on an island... so awesome!
